Type of Contract: GC - $3,305,000.00 Project Size: 22,000 sq. ft. Date of Completion: October 2020 Lindsey House’s mission is to assist women with children as they transition out of homelessness by teaching life skills in a sheltered environment. This project converted an existing building into 24 independent living units along with community spaces, laundry facilities and counseling and staff offices. The new floor plan was designed around the existing structural framing and exterior materials to reduce the cost of construction. Individual apartments and communal areas support the residents’ need for independence as well as creating a sense of community between residents. On-site administrative offices allow residents direct access to vital resources. The interior finishes, a modern farmhouse aesthetic, breathes new life into the existing building. The updated look and homey interior provide comfort to families in the program and welcome space to start a new chapter in clients’ lives.
